Jammu, Dec 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important notification allowing correction and updation of photographs and signatures of students appearing in Classes 10th, 11th and 12th examinations for the Annual Regular Session 2026 (Summer Zone), Jammu Division. The Board has also permitted change of subjects for Class 11th students only within a specified time frame.
According to the notification issued from JKBOSE Rehari Colony, Jammu, all Government and Private High and Higher Secondary Schools of the Jammu Division have been directed to submit required corrections, if any, in the online examination forms already filled. The corrections related to photograph, signature and subject change for Class 11th must be supported with relevant records as prescribed under Annexure “A” and “B”.
JKBOSE has fixed the correction window from December 18 to December 24, 2025, during which a token fine of Rs 200 per candidate will be charged. After this period, corrections will still be allowed up to December 31, 2025, but with an enhanced token fine of Rs 500 per candidate.
The Board has instructed that all correction requests should be submitted to the IT Section, Jammu Division, or the concerned Sub/Branch Offices. Heads of Sub and Branch Offices have been directed to ensure that the updated data and records received from institutions are forwarded to ITSS, Jammu Division, by January 2, 2026, strictly in the prescribed format.
JKBOSE has made it clear that no request will be entertained after the stipulated deadline, and the responsibility of completing all corrections within time rests solely with the Principals and Heads of Institutions. Any lapse in this regard may affect the candidature of students.
The notification has been issued under reference No. F (Exam-I/II/III)Upds/SZ/B/JD/2025, dated December 16, 2025, and has been signed by the Joint Secretary, Examinations, Jammu Division.
Students and school authorities have been advised to act promptly to avoid last-minute issues that could impact examination records.
